The CME Student Advisory Board schedules activities on a regular basis exclusively for CME students. These activities include but are not limited to meals, game nights, movie nights, themed parties, and holiday occurrences. We encourage all of our students to not only participate in these activities but also to participate in the CME Student Advisory Board.
The CME also has some standing yearly events. Here are a few examples:
- In April we take a crew of students to Bay Springs, Mississippi to race in the Hammerhead 500 Brick Street Derby. Each crew is responsible for building their own car but the CME provides the materials, machinery, and work space to do so.
- Also in the spring we have the CME cookout/picnic/low country boil. The exact food changes every year but the outcome is the same. We all get together on a warm spring evening and share in some delicious food.
- For Halloween we have a Pumpkin Carving Competition. It is not only fun to participate but also to see the creativity and effort put into designing and carving the best pumpkins.
If you are looking for something to do on campus that is not specifically CME related, checkout Campus Recreation. They offer myriad programs and facilities for Ole Miss students, faculty, staff, and community members. Structured and unstructured, traditional and nontraditional recreational opportunities are offered throughout the school year.
If you would rather get away from campus, look into other Food and Entertainment opportunities.
